Keystone segmental block retaining wall

The project

The Royal Rehabilitation Centre at Ryde is a specialist health campus. For ADCO Constructions, UCBC delivered 1,200 square metres of retaining wall on the site, completing in 2013.

Working on a live health site

A hospital campus stays open while it is rebuilt. Noise, dust, deliveries and plant movements were managed around patients and staff, with the wall sequenced to the head contractor's staging.

Finish

On a health campus the wall is part of the landscape people see every day, so a finished block face was specified and set out to a tight tolerance.
