Commercial and industrial retaining walls
Distribution centres at Eastern Creek and Erskine Park, a rehabilitation hospital at Ryde, a fit-out contractor's own facility at Warriewood, a grammar school at Dee Why. Commercial work is where a retaining wall has to be structural, finished and on programme at the same time.
Working for commercial builders
Commercial head contractors need a subcontractor who turns up with the right plant, holds the programme and hands over certification without being chased. We have been doing that for builders including Hansen Yuncken, ADCO, FDC and Australand, on walls from a few hundred square metres to several thousand.
Systems that suit the work
Estate and public-facing walls usually want a finished block face, which is Keystone. Hardstands and material bays want mass and impact resistance, which is Keymass. Boundaries and level changes on tight lots suit concrete sleeper walls, and walls carrying structures are built as reinforced core-filled block.
