Allan Block retaining walls
Allan Block is a mortarless, hollow-core segmental system with a raised rear lip that sets the batter and locks each course. The hollow cores are filled with drainage rock as the wall rises, so drainage is built into the face rather than added behind it.

Why the system is different
Where a solid block relies on pins, Allan Block uses a rear lip cast into every unit. Set the block down and it locks to the course below at the correct setback. The hollow core takes drainage aggregate, which makes the wall self-draining and lighter to handle. The result is a system that lays quickly and forgives small variations in the base.
Finishes and details
The range covers straight-face and beveled units in several colours, with matching capping, corner and step units. That matters on residential and commercial work where the wall is also the landscape: a corner should look like a corner, and a garden step should belong to the wall beside it.
Engineering for height
Short landscape walls stand as gravity structures. Taller walls, or walls carrying a driveway, building or slope above them, are reinforced with geogrid laid into the backfill at intervals set by the engineer. We design and build both, and supply the certification the council or certifier asks for.
