Keystone segmental block retaining wall

The project

For Stockland's Lakewood estate, with Daracon managing the development, UCBC built retaining walls ranging from one metre to four metres in height, in stages as the estate released. A Keystone charcoal flush-face block was selected for the estate.

Height across an estate

Four-metre walls on a residential estate are reinforced-soil structures: geogrid layers laid into the backfill behind the Keystone face at the levels the engineer set, with the lower walls standing as gravity structures. The same face ran across every height so the estate reads as one.

Delivered stage by stage

Stages five and seven were among the most recent completed when the project was recorded, each certified as it finished.
