The project

Watpac Constructions delivered social housing across several Sydney suburbs. UCBC built the retaining walls surrounding the developments at Macquarie Fields, Narwee and Blackett, using a natural flush-face Keystone block on low walls averaging 600 millimetres in height.

Many small walls

Housing work is the opposite of a single big civil wall: dozens of short walls across several sites, each set out to the lot and the landscape plan. The value is in coordination and consistency, not tonnage.

Finish for a neighbourhood

A natural flush face was chosen so the walls sit quietly in a residential street and weather evenly across the three sites.
